Trevor Hall Back In Baltimore

by Walter Zalis - 8x10 in Federal Hill, Baltimore, MD – 8/2/2009

PensEyeView has been to the 8x10 in Baltimore before – between the group of us, we’ve probably been to at least a couple dozen shows. So we know the venue well, almost as well as know the Federal Hill area around it.

Bo Bice

In the beginning, we liked Bo Bice. Yes, my husband and I were among the millions to faithfully dial in our vote for him on American Idol week after week. Not only did we like Bo's voice and his style, he just reminded us of a guy we might know from back home. We grew up in rural Maryland... in a place where tractor pulls actually still happen, oversized pickups are coveted and where southern/classic rock still rolls. Yes, Bo was our man.

Danny Aiello scores again with Live From Atlantic City

Receiving albums in the mail every day is definitely one of the perks with running PensEyeView.com. The only problem is there is never enough time in the day to sit and give each a good listen. To compensate, I work them into my daily routines. If I get a fast paced album with great beats, I save it for when I am running or working out. A mellower folk piece, I might turn on during a nice dinner or long car ride. Still, sometimes that doesn't work and days go by before I can give an album the proper attention.

The Cult of Kate Nash

In the past year PensEyeView.com has featured over 200 different artists every 48 hours; rock, pop, rap, country, alternative, bluegrass, blues, jazz, you name it. With that you start to realize why some artists stand out over others. About two months ago, I received UK pop sensation, Kate Nash's debut CD "Made Of Bricks" and was hooked from the start. Songs like, Foundations, Merry Happy, Pumpkin Soup and yes, even Dickhead were added to my favorites.
